In July 2003 the Tate South Lambeth Library exhibited Identity Parade, as part of the Vauxhall Festival. You left one of the paintings on informal loan to the library. The interior is now being extensively remodelled and theer will be no space for tis large paiting. Could you contact me to arrange its return?

OK let me get to the point...I'm going to do a short writing for puppetry course in early November (Arvon Foundation) and I'm looking at ideas. Do you want to do something together?....maybe there's a Pessoa project...the multiple personalities might work well with puppets....any other ideas,you're work would be beautiful realised in theatre as you've done before.....could be fun! Hello Aldous, good to see you still very active. I bought a painting from your grad show at the RCA in 1984. I've seen it titled " A Roma " but my understanding is that it is titled "The sweet smell of success" . Can you clear this up for me? I remember you delivering it to me in a basement flat in Clarendon Rd Holland Park. I left to live in Lewisham later then back up to the Highlands where I am now. I married the daughter of Barto Dos Santos. He was head of printmaking at the Slade and did a lot of prints based on Pessoa's works.

Dear Aldous, I have just come across your paintings via the Casa Fernando Pessoa. How fascinating! I am assembling a small event in Glasgow, with the Mitchell Library, Glasgow University and Carcanet, and wondered if you would like to exhibit a small section of 'Identity Parade'. The University (where I work) has some exhibition spaces, but I would hope to secure a more public space, like Waterstones or the Mitchell Library. We are aiming for the first week of November. And, of course,we'd be delighted if you come come and introduce the exhibition. I am also inviting Richard Zenith, whom you might already know (you provided the cover artwork for his Penguin edition of a selection of Pessoa's poems. I look forward to hearing from you.
